Siġġiewi

Siggiewi is situated in the south west part of the Maltese islands.   It is also known as Citta` Ferdinand.  Siggiewi has a population of approximately 9,000 people and in the past the majority were mostly farmers who worked in the agricultural areas that surround the village.  The Parish Church is dedicated to St. Nicholas of Bari and is celebrated on the last Sunday of June.

St. Francis Siggiewi Kindergarten School consists of two classes made up of thirty-five children who are admitted by ballot at the Curia. School activities are specifically designed to enable these children to develop the skills and attitudes outlined in the national curriculum. St. Ignatius College, Siggiewi Primary School

Siggiewi Primary school is a public school and forms part of St. Ignatius College.  The school is home to approximately 540 students and has 13 kindergarten classes and 19 primary classes.  The building is very modern with two large play areas which included a swimming pool.  There is a state-of-the art auditorium and landscaping surroundings.  The building also hosts a separate childcare center for children under 3 years of age.  The school also has an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
