Iklin, is situated in the central region of Malta. This locality borders with Gharghur, San Gwann, Birkirkara, Balzan, Lija and Naxxar. Iklin has developed in mid-20th centuary, and was considered to form part of Lija. The lower side of Iklin goes onto Birkirkara bypass, whilst upper Iklin is closer to Naxxar and is mostly dominated by villas and maisonettes. The two area have common facts, namely the structural design and the peacefulness of the area.
Due to the small community of Iklin, there is no public school in Iklin. Children living in Iklin and attending a public school, go to the Lija Primary school which forms part of St Theresa College.

St Theresa College – Lija – Balzan – Iklin Primary School
The school is situated in Lija and has a population of about 320 students between the ages of three and eleven years. The school staff is composed of approximately 67 members including Administration, teachers, learning support assistants, kindergarten assistants, clerks and caretakers. The school gives a holistic education to its students.
