Mġarr is a small town located in the northern region of Malta. This village is a typical rural village situated in an isolated region that is west of Mosta. There are two important prehistoric sites at Mġarr namely Ta Ħaġrat and Ta` Skorba. Other popular areas in Mġarr are Bingemma, Wardija, Fomm ir-Rish, Ghajn Tuffieha and Gnejna Bay. Mġarr has many countryside views. The Parish Church is dedicated to St. Mary and the feast is celebrated on the Sunday following the 15th August. At Mġarr one can find many restaurants that specialise in one of Malta’s traditional dishes i.e. rabbit.
