Għasri is a village that is located in the western part of the Gozo island. Due to its population it is the smallest village found in Gozo. A landmark in the village of Għasri is the Gordan (Ta` Gurdan) lighthouse. The lighthouse is 180 metres above sea level and its beam could be seen up to 50km away. The walk up to the lighthouse is definitely worth it, as it offers 360 degree views of Gozo.

Laura Vicuna Kindergarten & Primary school is a Church school and entry is by ballot. The school as it is today was primarily a convent for the Salesian nuns. The School opened its doors in October 1970. A class was added each year until 1978 when the school started offering classes from Kindergarten to Year 6. The School’s goal is to make a difference in the children’s lives by helping them gain confidence.
