Located on the island of Gozo, Kerċem is the village that lies close by the south-west of Victoria. Kerċem is situated between the Lunzjata Valley and the Xlendi Cliffs and has breathtaking views. It is in fact very popular with artists, walkers and cyclists. Ta` Kerċem was one of the earliest places to be inhabited on Gozo, in fact archaeological discoveries dated back to approximately 7000 years ago. The parish church is dedicated to St Gregory and Our Lady of Perpetual Help, as a result the village of Kerċem has two patron saints.

St Theresa School
St Theresa School is a Church School and entry is by ballot. The School Ethos is to form their students in the love of God and love of neighbors and provide a holistic education to be honest and responsible citizens. The school is a mixed-primary school and is run by the Carmelite Missionary Sisters of St Theresa of the Child Jesus. It was set up in Kercem, Gozo in 1957 and it started with only 50 children. Nowadays, the school houses 240 students.
